Mr. Syed Rob, MBA

Mr. Syed Rob is a proud resident of District 4. He is honored to be a candidate for the office of State Representative in Michigan. He serves on the Zoning Board for City of Hamtramck and was recently appointed by Governor Rick Snyder to the Michigan Board of Physical Therapy. He is a member of the Alumni Association Board of Directors at Lawrence Technological University. He has been servicing the community as small business entrepreneur in the insurance industry for 15 years. He understands the need for economic development and neighborhood empowerment.

Syed Rob earned his Bachelor’s of Arts in Finance from William Tyndale College and his Master’s in Business Administration from Lawrence Technological University. Syed has served on the Planning Commission for the City of Warren from 2011-2017. In 2012, he studied public policy and legislation through the Michigan Political Leadership Program at Michigan State University. He held the position of Treasurer for the Bangladeshi Democratic CAUCAS from 2010-2012. He enjoys spending time with his family and volunteering in community based projects. 

Syed believes, "Change never comes easy and we still have long road ahead of us. By standing together and rising to the occasion, Michigan will continue to prosper.
